Sovereign of the Seas

The story of the Sovereign of the Seas is a sad one of missed potential and wasted time. Begun in 2004 after the Queen Mary 2 sank, she was originally powered by 3 small radio shack motors. When they proved unsatisfactory, she was withdrawn for a refit with a more powerful single motor.

She would wait more than a YEAR before taking to the water again.

Sadly, after only a few more voyages, so many leaks appeared in her hull from aging that it became simply too much trouble to keep her going again and she was retired after her April 29, 2006 voyage with the ZUIDERDAM.

Currently, she is laid up with no specific plans for her future.
